Pupils are required to be able to identify the properties of 3D shapes, such as the number of faces, edges and vertices. These are most common in the 9-1 GCSE Foundation paper but the ability to identify properties and apply them is also needed in the Higher tier GCSE . This learning grid requires pupils to either state the given properties of the 3D shape connecting the two coordinate grids, or to define the property of 3D shapes.
The Learning Grid activity helps to link in literacy by encouraging pupils to communicate and articulate their knowledge by connecting two different elements of a topic. Each learning grid comes complete with instructions on how to use and ideas for support and stretch.
All our resources come complete with instructions, solutions and where appropriate ides to stretch and support pupils. Check out www.numberloving.com for more ideas and resources like this.
